Marche Raduiju

Marche moved to his mothers old hometown, St. Ivalice. The reason for this is because of his parents divorce, also his brother, Doned's sickness was getting worse. Deciding that the country will make him feel better was also one of the reasons to why Marche moved. He got new friends, Mewt and Ritz and one day he invited them over to his house, they brought a book along which changed Marche's life forever. Marche is not too enthusiastic or head-strong at first sight. He is nervous at first due to the change but he gets the hang of things. He has a strong sense of justice and fairness and his loyalty to his friends remains strong even after they get separated and change ways. Marche eventually has to make a choice, a choice that will change the world. He must pick between the old St. Ivalice that is reality or the world he currently lives in, one which he eventually begins to love.

Mewt Randell

Ever since Mewt's mother became ill and passed away, Mewt and his father Cid were under fire. Cid has trouble at work and moved out because his trouble and Mewt has been silent and odd ever since. He carries his bear around, a present his mother gave him before she passed away. Due to this fact, he always gets teased at school this made him low down and weak. Mewt is timid and mature, his past has made him this way. The story is based around Mewt later on in the game and you find why he made the change. Mewt in the other world is different, a selfish, confident and one who rules everyone. You eventually find out why Mewt has done this and how your betrayal will affect him.

Ritz Malbeur

Ritz is outspoken and strong-minded. While she excells in everything, classes and sports. She is independent and has a firm sense of what is right and wrong which results in most other kids giving her a wide berth. Ritz helps her friends out, especially Shara, she is tough and it'd be wrong to fight her. Ritz continues through the game being confident and loving the world that has changed. She is caught inbetween Marche and Mewt, who share different views. She eventually fights for what she loves, the world that has changed. You eventually find out that she doesn't want the change for a reason, a secret, a scar from the past.

Montblanc

Montblanc runs into Marche in Ivalice, helping him out until the very end, navigating him, teaching him the ways. Montblanc proves to be a trustworthy companion. Montblanc is loyal and helps the shy and timid Marche, making him a confident fighter and leader. Montblanc's loyalty to his friends and family allows him to put his life at any risk to save or help others. Even though he is from the new world, he still sticks with Marche to get what he wants, even if it is wrong for him to do so.
