Battle System

Battles will usually be quite frequent, except when you have an accessory which stops them. Battles are started by the screen stopping and breaking like a pain of glass. A screen will come up with some stuff on it, should be easy enough to figure out.

Actions:
During battle you may experience some actions which follow certain other actions.
Note: Most of these can be experienced by both you and your enemies.

Ambushed -
This is the oposite of a Preemptive Strike. It means that your enemies will be able to attack you first, so you will have to sit and take in their strongest attacks, which can hurt. Alot.

Chain Attack -
A chain attack is when you attack an enemy multiple times in a row, each attack growing stonger. Chaining magic spells can create the largest possible attack, taking off massive amounts of HP.

Haste -
Haste allows a character to perform more attacks with each cycle.

Miss -
The word Miss appearing after attack indicates that the attack was unsuccessful. To cause someone to miss you could cast darkness, or have high evasion.

Preemtive Strike -
Preemtive Strike appears randomly as the battle is about to start. It means that your characters will be able to attack the enemy before they can attack you, giving you a chance to wipe them out before they can even hit you.

Protect -
The MP free spell and action reduces the amount of HP taken off your characters from Physical attacks. It has no effect on magical attacks.

Reflect -
Any spells casted by your opponent will be reflected back to the enemy, attacking it. Reflect only lasts for 1 relflection.

Regen -
Recovers small amounts of HP to a character every turn.

Shell -
This MP free spell and action reduces the amount of HP taken of your characters from Magical attacks. It has no effect of physical attacks.
