Pedestal Items

Bombs - Use these explosives to destroy cracked walls and blocks. You have an unlimited amount, but can only lay two at a time.

Boomerang - The boomerang flies out in front of you and then returns. It can be used on switches, enemies, and it brings back items it flies over. It can also cut grass.

Bow - Fire arrows at enemies and eyeball switches from a distance. You can charge up each shot for more power, plus it sparkles.

Bow-Wow - This is a special item and is a really rare find. (See Hints and Tips).

Gnat Hat - Put this on your head to shrink to the size of a gnat. You can go through small holes and doorways while small, plus you won't slip on ice.

Magnetic Gloves - You can charge these so that they either push you away or pull you towards special blocks. They also pull metal armor off certain enemies, and can pull another player towards you.

Pegasus Boots - Using these causes you to run really fast with your sword out in front of you. If you run into another player they will start running too, whether they have the boots or not. You can also charge up slick slopes, and destroy blue jelly blocks.

Roc's Cape - Wearing this lets you jump into the air and glide back down to the ground. Try using your sword in the air for some different effects.

Shield - Use the shield to defend your front from damage. Fast moving enemies are usually thrown off when they charge right into your blockade.

Pick-ups

Fairy - Get one of these before it disappears or flies off the screen to recover about five hearts.

Hearts - These common pickups restore one empty heart on your heart meter.

Heart Container - Find one of these to have an extra heart added to your heart meter. Picking one up also fills your heart meter completely.

Small Key - Use these to open a locked door or to destroy blocks with keyholes in them.

Rupees - Normally a form of currency, you are competing with the other players to collect the most, while at the same time striving for an all-player goal.

Green - 1
Blue - 5
Red - 20
Big Green - 50
Big Blue - 100
Big Red - 200

If you have Rupee Fever then the above values are doubled (see Hints and Tips).

Rupee Shards - Collect four small gold rupees to get one big gold rupee, worth 500 rupees. Check the status screen to see how many you have.

Black Rupee - If you pick up this Rupee, you will lose 80 rupees in the form of four small red Rupees. If you're the one who dropped them, hasten to pick them back up. If you spot another player picking up a black rupee, run in to scavenge.

Seeds - There are three different kinds of seeds you can pick up that boost your stats.

Razor Seeds - Increases damage done to enemies (red)
Armor Seeds - Decreases damage taken (blue)
Pegasus Seeds - Increases speed (green)

(You can only carry two of each seed, check the status screen to see how many you have.)
