Isaac is a 17 year old living in Vale. He is an adept, one who is gifted special elemental powers and can use powers for anything from daily housing activities or battle. As one living in Vale he has to defend the Sol Sanctum which lies in Mt. Aleph, the mountain where Vale is located. His life changes forever when someone triggers a trap in the sanctum, brewing up a storm which killed his father and some of his friends.

Isaac is you, he doesn't speak and what choices you make projects what Isaac is like. Isaac lost his father in the disaster 3 years ago and now he is living with his mother, helping out when he needs to and making himself as useful as his father. He soon finds out that he sets off for a quest, he has a good sense of what to do and the future of the world, even if it's a burden he does not have to have on his soldiers.

Isaac's childhood friend is Garet who, unlike Isaac who is an Venus Adept, is an Mars Adept who is granted powers of fire. Garet's friendship with Isaac is always strong, however, Garet is different from Isaac. Garet isn't one who is to think things through. At times he may seem stupid, rude, unpleasant, I'm sure you can come up with other examples. However, Garet makes up to this with his excellent fighting skills and trying his best to improve his psynergy, the power of the elements. Garet is also incredibly loyal to his friends, following Isaac on his quest to save the world, as well as persuing the kidnappers of Jenna, another of his childhood friends.

Isaac and Garet meet Ivan after not much time has passed in their quest. The mysterious boy has been given powers, one found to be unique and inhuman. For this the people regard him as a freak and do not welcome him. While Ivan's past remains a mystery, his loyalty lies with his Master and that is why he stayed to recover the Shaman's Rod, he is also partly to blame. The Adepts soon find out that Ivan is a Jupiter Adept, one blessed with powers of the wind. Isaac and Garet aid Ivan in his quest and he pays them back with his loyalty, friendship and company.

Ivan is the youngest in the group, but for one so young he is wise. Ivan is wise and silent. He spends most of his time thinking through things and never acts things before thinking. The few words that escape from his mouth are ones of bravery and loyalty. He aids the adepts in the quest to save the world, even if he has nothing to do with what is going on.

Mia is the calm and cool lady from the northern icelands. She lives in Imil, helping out with colds and other sicknesses that curse the villagers living there, especially after the incredible healing water drained out of Mercury Lighthouse. Mia is a Mercury Adept, one whos loyalty lies with the power of water. She is also the guardian of Mercury Lighthouse and will do anything to protect it from being lit. After she meets with the Adepts the lighthouse is lit and she soon discovers why. Her apprentice, Alex, has betrayed the Mercury clan and its duty and opened the way of the lighthosue for the criminals.

The powers of Mercury gift the adepts with healing powers. After the crisis in the lighthouse, Mia decides to join the party since her duty has been destroyed. She is a calm and cool. She isn't like Garet, who is hot-headed and sensitive and not like Ivan, who is calm and thoughtful. Mia has her times of fun but she also takes in thoughts and makes wise decisions. She is a great asset to the company.

Saturos was the leader of the group sent to retrieve the elemental stars. He failed and all his group were wiped out thanks to the storm that was triggered thanks to the event. He escaped with Menardi and one who was found in the river, unconscious. Three years later he returned to retrieve the elemental stars. This time he nearly managed but failed to retrieve the Mars Star. Instead he took Kraden and young Jenna so that Isaac and Garet who have the stars would persue them for their friends.

Saturos is hot-headed and powerful. But not so much that he lets his cool down, he never fails to notice anything and his intelligence is beyond compare. He is one not to be messed with.

Menardi also survived that fateful night at Vale. She is Saturos' partner and never leaves him. She, however, does what she must when Saturos must fight alone. Menardi is one who thinks of less ideas but ironically has more control over her emotions. She doesn't get as cocky and Saturos might when they are against the heroes. However, in battle she goes full force and when her power is unleashed, she might be more dangerous than Saturos.

Alex used to be loyal to the Mercury clan, whos objective was to save the lighthouse from being lit. He eventually betrayed his clan and Mia, his master, to gain power and more control. With the powers of Mercury, he aided the enemies to get into Mercury Lighthouse and to survive the dangerous battles they had against the heroes. Alex isn't hotheaded. He is somewhat witty and very cool. He's like sweet poison, one who seems nice but evil in another way. You eventually find out that his objective was not to aid Saturos and Menardi, but for another objective, he knows more than them, it's for himself.
