Boss Guide
Bosses are in every RPG. They usually are powerful enemies, which require
strategy to beat. In Medievil that is probably the best term to describe them.
They appear in some levels usually at the end although that is not always the
case.
Boss I. The Stained Glass Demon
HP:
500
Where: The Hilltop
Mausoleum
With: Crossbow
(Throwing Daggers backup) and a shield
How: The Glass Demon
will jump into the centre and reveal his heart, begin cross bowing him. He will
stop and send glass shards at you, use the copper shield to defend until it
breaks (if it does, more will appear). The he will jump back and try to either
face you and slice you with projectile glass or jump on top, then he will jump
into the centre and you can begin cross bowing.
You might kill him but probably not and he will entrap you in glass and it will
take some hp. I don’t know if this is avoidable. He will then do the same thing
(either jump at you or try to face you and slice you with projectile glass) then
show his heart again. You should kill him now.
Rewards: Skull Key.
Boss II. The Guardians of The Graveyard
HP:
600
Where: Return To The
Graveyard
With: Hammer or Club
How: This battle is
rather odd. These monsters start semi invisible and walk around. There are 2 yes
but if you take a lot of hp off them one will die. They will disappear in sparks
then attack at you. This is when you can attack them. They will turn solid to
attack you. Whack them with the Hammer to deal some damage. Repeat this until
they die. This is a rather simple fight.
Rewards: Daring Dash
Ability.
Boss III. The Pumpkin King
HP:
1100
Where: The Pumpkin
Serpent
With: Anything
How: Destroy the 9
pods and then hack at him. You could also open the bombs to do damage. This is a
very easy boss indeed. Just slash at him and he should die. You can use anything
you want.
Rewards: Entrance to
the exit, a Dragon Gem from a witch and access to the chalice.
Boss IV. The Ant Queen
HP:
1000
Where: The Ant Caves
With: Projectiles and
a hammer
How: This queen is
not too hard although unprepared she will destroy you. At first she won’t be
attackable and she will spit poison at you and ants will attack you. When she
stands up and shows her stomach and the area starts shaking, change to the
projectile and begin hitting her. During now rocks will fall. Now she will sit
down and ants will come.
You will have to attack her in bouts 4 or 5 times at least to kill her with the
crossbow. If you run out of bolts use the daggers. Use the hammer to kill the
ants.
Rewards: Access to
the way out
Boss V. The Flying Shadow Demons
HP:
1700 (between the 2 of them.)
Where: The Enchanted
Earth
With: Projectiles
(Flaming Longbow is the best)
How: This battle is
very tough. The demons aren’t too bad but where you fight them isn’t exactly the
most ideal place to fight a boss. It tilts constantly and the demons will swoop
at you. When they start dropping rocks on the platform, it won’t tilt any more
but rocks will be dropped. The demons are very evasive and hitting them will be
hard so the flaming longbow will be the most ideal hitting weapon.
Rewards: Star Rune
access to a life pool and some energy vials.
Boss VI. The Dragon
HP:
250
Where: Crystal Caves
With: Hammer
How: To Unlock the
Dragon you need the two dragon gems (look at item guide). The Dragon will breath
fire and stick his head in some holes in some sections. You have to hit the
section with the hammer power attack (Square) right of the one his head is on
(the fourth section it’s left). He should die quickly if you can do it well.
Rewards: Dragon
Armour and access to the Star Rune
Boss VII. The Ghost Ship Captain
HP: 400
Where: The Ghost Ship
With: The Club and
The Magic Sword
How: This is a very
unique fight as you cannot damage him directly. There are 3 cannons and a fire.
You need to use The Club to fire the cannon at the passing captain. This is
harder then it sounds. If you don’t do it quickly he’ll bring some annoying
pirates to life and which you need to destroy to continue. Iff you can do it
right he should go down quickly.
Rewards: Access to
the Exit.
Boss VIII. Lord Kardok
HP: 1500
Where: Zarok’s Lair
With: The Magic Sword
How: This fight starts with you on low hp from the fight (see World Guide) so
get those life vials left. He will run up, buck on his horse and shoot darts, at
this time slice him with the Magic Sword, repeat until he is dead.
Reward: Nothing
Boss IX . Zarok
HP: 1600
Where: Zarok’s Lair
With: Anything really
affective
How: Zarok is the
very last boss and 75 percent of the time their a pushover. Well I wouldn’t call
this guy a pushover but he certainly isn’t Uber hard. He’s turned himself into a
lizard, which is odd, and he’ll run at you and try to spit poison. The Only time
you can strike him is when his out line gets sharper. He’ll continue this until
he’s taken a few hits.
Then he’ll make a sphere and try to flatten you. If you get caught in the sphere
it’ll burn you, which can be counted with the dragon armour. Repeat this until
he dies.
Rewards: Some cool
scenes and you finish the game.
