 Visors
Samus starts with the Combat Visor and the Scan Visor, and the next two are discovered later in the game. Each changes the way Samus sees and interacts with the world around her.
Combat Visor - This visor provides a clear view of the outside world, and is Samus’s default visor. It is used for most combat situations.
Scan Visor - This visor allows Samus’s suit to analyze and obtain more information about most bioforms and many objects of interest. Sometimes an interface must be scanned before it can be interacted with. Firing of any weapon will default back the Combat visor while in this mode.
Thermal Visor - Found in Phendrana Drifts Research Core. This visor shows heat at a brighter color than cold, and can detect most enemies despite cloaking systems or lack of light. It interacts with the wave beam to shoot certain targets that can’t be seen otherwise. Mechanical enemies do not have a heat signature, so they do not show up.
X-Ray Visor - Found in the Life Grove in Tallon Overworld after Power Bombs are obtained. This allows Samus to lock on and stay locked on to most any enemy, despite any cloaking or running behind things. As such, it also reveals objects that otherwise seem invisible.
