 Bosses
Chainsaw Man (Mini Boss) - He’s on the cover which makes no sense since he’s unimportant but that’s same with Mendez (See Characters and below). Whatever. So I suggest you shoot the two Ganados(See Enemies) with your rifle. Then when Chainsaw Man (Also known as Dr. Salvador) comes, get one maybe two shots in with the rifle if you can. Then take out the shotgun and make him regret coming after you. Make sure he doesn’t get to close or he takes off your head. You might want to let it happen just so you can see the scariness in it.
Del Lago - First boss fight of the game and boy is it awesome. Del Lago is lured out by the body of one of the Drivers (See Characters) who took you to Pueblo. So you get in a rickety old row boat and go out to face him. Del Lago will drag you around the lake. You need to watch out for floating debris that will knock you out of the boat. While he’s pulling you throw harpoons at his back. Eventually Del Lago will go under water and start barreling towards the boat. Throw a harpoon in his mouth. Repeat until he dies.
El Gigante - Wow! Another thing from Lord of the Rings! Nope it’s just the second boss. Now hopefully you rescued the dog in the beginning of the game or else this battle will be very hard. Shoot from his back and head and keep out of his reach. Eventually a Plaga will sprout from his back. Get close and jump on. Then cut it as many times as possible. Do it three times and El Gigante will die. I would stay out of the houses because it’s very easy to get stuck in them.
El Gigante (2nd Encounter) - This is the recommended path to take at the fork (it’s the right one). You use the same strategy but make sure you shoot the boulder so it drops on to him. Also make sure you keep Ashley (See Characters) out of harm’s way.
Bella Sisters (Mini-Boss) - I thought this would be the way to go since I hate El Gigante (See Above). Boy was I wrong. First you are swarmed by Ganados. Then you jump into the pit and the Bella Sisters (2 Chainsaw Women) pop out. They’re almost the same as Dr. Salvador (See Above) but quicker. Unless you’re doing the game for the second time I don’t recommend facing them.
Bittores Mendez (See Characters) - This is probably the scariest boss battle maybe second to Verdugo (See Below). Ok, so immediately climb the ladder. There is one of each Herb up there which is very nice. I threw grenades and got him with the shotgun in the spine (go for there not the head) while constantly moving. If you don’t he’ll cut you. There are a couple explosives barrels so get him by those and shoot them, eventually you see a cut scene of Mendez’ torso separating from his legs. Now he’ll be moving in the rafters. I threw a flash grenade which makes him fall and then shot him. Do that a couple times and you’ve got him.
Garriador (Mini-Boss (aka Prison Boss)) - So before you enter the prison leave Ashley at the stairs. When you get close to the cage the Garriador will break loose. Garriadors are criminals who had their eyes sewn shut and giant metal claws mounted on their arms by Saddler. The Plaga then made their hearing much more acute. So first shoot the bells and aim for the Plaga on their back. Then shoot at him when you’re next to a wall but run away. His claw will get stuck and you have a free shot at his back. Repeat.
Garriador (Mini-Boss (2nd encounter)) - You only fight him if you choose to shoot the wine bottle on the painting in the dining room. Then you go in a room with a treasure chest. Before you can get it a cage falls trapping you with Zealots (See Enemies) and a Garriador (See Above). Kill the Zealots and try stay out of the Garriador’s reach. It’s very hard since you’re in a small space and his claws are long so I suggest grenades. Hand for the Zealots and Incendiary for him. Remember he’s blind so flash won’t work.
Garriador (Mini-Boss (x2)) - Use the same strategy as you did for the other two.
Verdugo (aka Salazaar’s (See Characters) right hand) - Because of Verdugo I actually stopped playing this game for about a month and a half. You’re going to run down a hall way passing nitrogen as you go (how convenient). Make sure you’re ready to dodge because Verdugo will strike as you run. When you get to the room the door will lock behind you. Run to the end while picking up stuff and dodging. Then press a button and it will say the elevator will be ready in 2 minutes and door will unlock then. So once you’ve done that Verdugo comes down. Don’t try shooting him it won’t do anything. Run immediately to the nitrogen tank and throw it down. It will freeze Verdugo. Then get close to him and kick when you see that option. It will let you have about 4 shots instead of 3. So hopefully you have the Broken Butterfly. If not, the Striker will have to do. So unload rounds into him until he gets up. Then run around the metal square until the door opens. Then run down the hall knocking down nitrogen on Verdugo and kicking and shooting him. You’ll have to go into the rooms along the way because there are nitrogen tanks in there. So after you’ve done all this Verdugo will die and you will be happy. Now go to take the elevator.
Ramon Salazaar (See Characters) - I was so happy during this fight because this guy was finally to die. First get to the side and shoot his tentacles so they recede into the wall. Then Salazaar will come out of his little cocoon and shoot at him with you rifle or whatever else can get to him (probably use the rifle though). So just repeat. If you run out of ammo go down the ladder and kill the Plaga things. Beat him and I swear your day will improve.
Gatling Gunner (Mini-Boss) - To face Gatling Gunner I would climb the ladder of the first room. Get the Magnum Ammo and load it, then wait for him come up. Pretty much just shoot him. 1 Magnum shot will make him flinch and 2 shotgun blasts do the same. You get a nice chunk of change for beating him.
Dos Gigantes - This is just fun because you get to drop one in lava. Make sure there in the middle and pull the switch. One will fall in and fail about until it closes and he dies. It is hysterical. With the second one I climbed the ladder and then took the zip line down as he started shake it. Shoot him while he is. Once the Plaga comes out cut it. Do that 3 times you win.
Jack Krauser (See Characters) - This a cut scene telling what Krauser is doing here. It’s actually very interesting but I forgot most of it. So you just have to keep your fingers on R and L, and A and B. It’s just dodging and there’s one part you have to tap A. It’s pretty hard actually, just because it’s difficult to predict when you have to press stuff.
It (aka U3) - You first meet it in some hanging cages. There are 2 (or 3 I don’t remember) red buttons in each of the 3 cages. You have to shoot them to open the doors to the next cage. You only have 30 seconds to get there so make sure you go fast. If it comes down then blast it with the Striker. He’ll go away. So you think it’s gone don’t you? He’s not. It climbs back up the wall and comes back to fight. Lure him near barrels and shoot them. Plus you can open the cage then close them. It will try break them down and you get some free shots. There’s not much strategy to it. Finally he’ll go underground. If you’re like me and upgraded your weapons a lot, shoot him with the BB and he’ll die after one or two hits.
Jack Krauser (See Characters) – Much, much harder. There are 3 insignias around this area you have to retrieve. Just make sure you stay out of Krauser’s line of fire. When he gets close I don’t suggest shooting him because he moves to fast. Just get out your knife. Cut him once or twice and he’ll be gone. When you climb the ladder up the tower Krauser will come up and you’ll see a cut scene with his arm morphing into a sword. There are two ways to fight Krauser. You can shoot his legs and he’ll trip so you can shoot his head. It’s very difficult. Or when he gets close you can cut him. You cut him 6 to 8 times and he’s dead. You choose.
Osmond Saddler (See Characters) - For the final boss he wasn’t that hard. First, you’re going to want to go up the ladder flip the switch so he gets hit with the construction stuff. Shoot the face the turns into an eye. Then cross the bridge and do that again. Saddler’s legs have eyes on them. Shoot those and he’ll fall so you can shoot the big eye once more. Once you’d done that 5 (I think) times Ada will show up and throw you a rocket launcher. Shoot him and he dies. You’ll see a cut scene of Ada taking the Plaga sample (which Saddler took from Luis) and flying away. Make sure you pick up the 100,000 Pesetas before you go.
