Howling Stones
There are seven hidden sword techniques throughout the entire game. Only the first one is impossible to avoid getting, and as such is the only one necessary to complete the game.
Ending Blow
Stone Location: None
Wolf Location: Faron Woods
Technique: Perform a finishing move on a targeted enemy that has been knocked down.
Shield Attack
Stone Location: Death Mountain
Wolf Location: Ordona Province
Technique: Push through an enemy’s defense by thrusting your shield at them to knock them off balance.
Back Slice
Stone Location: Upper Zora’s River
Wolf Location: West of Hyrule Castle Town
Technique: Dash to the side and roll behind your enemy, than rise with a jump and a slice in an unexpected area.
Helm Splitter
Stone Location: Outside Sacred Grove
Wolf Location: Outside Hyrule Castle Town
Technique: Used in combination with the Shield Attack, you flip over a stunned enemy’s head, with a downward slice in the process.
Mortal Draw
Stone Location: Lake Hylia
Wolf Location: Gerudo Desert
Technique: When totally unarmed, if an un-targeted enemy approaches you, you draw your sword and slice with it in a sudden, unexpected attack that is do fast for your enemy to dodge.
Jump Strike
Stone Location: Snowpeak
Wolf Location: Kakariko Graveyard
Technique: Charge up a normal jump slice to have it deal damage to multiple enemies.
Great Spin
Stone Location: Hidden Village
Wolf Location: North Road in Hyrule Castle Town
Technique: When you have full health, wait for a normal spin attack to charge up a little more.
